Russian cuisine before the 17th century, though, can be considered a bore. Typically, it included turnips and cabbages cooked in various combinations and in every imaginable way, often with spice.

Russian cuisine’s rich and varied character derives from the vast and multicultural expansion of Russia. Its foundations were laid by the peasant food of the rural population, in an often-harsh climate, with a combination of fish, poultry, mushrooms, berries and honey. The Russian cuisine is one of the most popular and widely spread in the world. French cuisine is festive and elegant, Chinese cuisine is exotic, Russian cuisine is healthy and delicious.

Russian cuisine is probably the most disparate of all cuisines. Russian food is not only different from other cuisines, but there is a considerable amount of variation within Russian cuisine. thanks to a geographically wide area that Russia entails. Russian cuisine was renowned for diverse delicacies, especially refreshments.

Russian cuisine has a rich history and offers a wide variety of soups, dishes made from fish, cereal based products and drinks. Vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, berries, herbs also play a major part while meat does not.

Russian Cuisine is no exception and is a very important part of Russia and its history. Russian cuisine, like Chinese and US and European regional cuisine, is in reality a cornucopia of styles and recipes, with a dish in Chechnya bearing little resemblance to the same dish in Leningrad. It is wonderful, varied and healthy, fit for more than the tables of kings.

The Chinese cuisine enjoys a wide popularity throughout the world. Chinese cuisine is one of the greatest methods of cooking. Many elements has influenced its development, Chinese cuisine has a long history, and is one of the Chinese cultural treasures. It is as famous all over the world like French cuisine.

Rice is a critical part of much of Chinese cuisine. However, in many parts of China, particularly northern China, wheat -based products including noodles and steamed buns (such as mantou ) predominate, in contrast to southern China where rice is dominant. Rice grows abundantly, as do citrus fruits, bamboo, and mushrooms. The spiciness of the food tells of locally grown chilies and the inclinations of the local palate, though some say the spices are used to mask the taste of foods that rot quickly in the heat. Rice and wheat generally considered superior to millet, maize and tubers, which are consumed more often in the poorer rural areas of North and Central China. A typical Chinese meal is comprised of rice, noodles, mantou (steamed buns) served with vegetables, meat, and fish.

Cooking traditions are never static. They change with the introduction of new ingredients and cooking techniques. Cooking techniques consist of stewing, braising, roasting, and simmering.

China can be divided into many geographical areas, and each area has a distinct style of cooking. The ingredients used in the food are based on the natural agricultural products of the particular region.

Now, you might want to try Chinese cuisine to please your family, friends or yourself. Learn more about the splendor of Chinese cuisine, certainly it is an experience you will never forget.

Italian food is admired throughout the world for its hearty flavors and filling combinations.

Italy, situated in the verdant climate of the Mediterranean, has long been home to a variety of food and flavors, with an ancient emphasis on eating fresh and seasonal foods.

Italians consider the pasta to be the basis of the meal while the sauce is merely flavoring. There should only be enough sauce to coat each piece of pasta, not to drown it.

The Italian culture and Italian cuisine are synonymous. Italians have lived the “slow” sustainable life, for hundreds, even thousands of years, although they would not call it that.

The Italian cuisine has evolved over the years and Italian cooking, as we know it today is both elegant and refined. Italian cuisine benefits from the discovery of the new world with the introduction of items like potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which now are all central parts of Italian cooking.

Italian Cuisine also includes an extensive glossary of words and expressions currently use in Italian cuisine and in the world of cooking.

Italian cuisine is seasonal with priority placed on the use of fresh produce. Italians love to share meals with family and friends. Every day meals contain at least two courses (the first course is usually a filling dish of pasta or risotto), the side dish, which is a salad and the coffee.

The Italians take great pride and pleasure in their food, and cooking and eating habits can vary from region to region, even from village to village. Each place has their own unique dishes and ingredients, and even the traditional dishes that are so popular all over Italy are cooked in different ways depending which region you go to.

And applyig this, one must know how to research and look for interesting recipes. This menus may be from other nation, culture or race. Here is one of a best-seller in Greece.

Ingredients:

1 kilo / 2 pounds potatoes
1/2 kilo ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
1 cup tomatoes from a can
1/2 glass red wine
1 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup chopped parsley
Salt, pepper and nutmeg
For the topping:
1 liter milk/2 pints
1 cup flour
1/2 cup of butter
2 eggs
Grated cheese

Procedure:

1. If you want a plain old Mousaka you can remove the potatoes. But traditionally, Greeks find it tasty when this dish is served with them.

2. Boil the potatoes and stop half way (15-20 min.). Peel them and let it aside aside

3. Fry now the onion in the oil until brown and transparent. Afterwards, add the ground beef and wait for 10 minutes. Stir the mixture well so as to blend the onion taste with the beef. Afterwards, add the red whine. Red whine is preffered since you’re cooking with meat. Add the tomatoe, parsley, salt, pepper and about a tablespoon of sugar, and then add 1/2 cup of water.

4. Wait until the water is absorbed by the meat. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the grated cheese and the egg yolks. The egg whites will be used for the toppings.

5. In a saucepan bring three cups of milk to boil and then mix the flour with the remaining cup and pour stirring constantly, making a thick paste.

6. Remove from heat, and add the egg yolks, egg whites and the nutmeg.

7. Butter a baking pan, and then put the sliced potatoes in it. Cover with the meat mixture and then cover with the contents of the saucepan.

8. Remove the baking pan from the oven if the topping is already browned.
