BOPIS is a spicy Filipino dish that is known for its unique ingredients. As some Filipinos say, bopis is an exotic delicacy that presents the culture of their country, specifically the ones that are preserved in the Katagalugan Region. Its taste is also compared to some of Thailand’s hot tomato dishes
Here are the ingredients:
1 kilo boiled and minced pig’s heart, 1 kilo boiled and minced pig’s lungs, 1 head of minced garlic, 1 minced onion 3 tbsp of corn oil, 1 laurel leaf ,3 pieces diced red bell pepper, 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1 cup stock1, tsp minced hot chili pepper, salt & pepper.
The procedure is simple:
Heat first corn oil in a pan (any oil will do), then saute’ garlic and onion. Now add the minced heart and lungs. Stir until the meats are well cooked. Add salt, pepper, laurel leaf, red bell pepper and vinegar. Bring to a boil until all the tastes are even. Put stock, add minced chillies and again, bring to a boil.
